If you don’t remember the products we’re going to use, it doesn’t matter. I’m going to remind you all of them while we’re getting the look step by step.
So basically this is me, for all of you who didn’t know me yet. In this picture I got my concealers and compacts on already. I use my fingers to apply my concealer. Put it on with little touches, do not smooth it out, right? I apply my compacts with the kabuki brush. I got mine in a drugstore in Santander – it was a gift from the shop, so I can’t link you any website of any cosmetic brand or something like that. But if you want to know what kind of brush I’m talking about, click here.
And there we go with the eyes! The first product I’m going to use is the eyeshadow primer Shadow Insurance from Too Faced. Put it on your eyelids like you put your lotion on your face and body (and don’t forget to put your moisturizing cream on your face before applying any cosmetic product, IMPORTANT!). The next product is the black eye pencil. I’ll use this one to cover up the eyelid, the basis of these smokey eyes. This step is basic, even though we’re going to put it on other products later. Don’t worry if you don’t fill your eyelid perfectly, because we’re going to blur it and we don’t need the lines to be sharp. The importance of this step is getting your eyelid completely black, but remember, do not get to your eyebrows!
Once we’ve covered both eyelids with the black eye pencil, we blur the outline. Can you see the difference? Don’t worry if you feel awkward with the black eye pencil – I know it really makes our eye look a little bit weird.
And we carry on with the key of the smokey eyes look: the eyeshadows. In this case, two eyeshadows. A black eyeshadow, which we’ll put it on the eyelid to make our black colour uniform, and a brown eyeshadow, to blur the black eyeshadow and make a smoked colour that ends up under the eyebrow.
It’s easy, isn’t it? But you must fuss over your eyeshadows – do not put it on and go away. Use your brushes to attach the eyeshadows to your eyelids and repeat that movement again and again until you get tired. The more time you spend on your eyeshadow, the more time it lasts once it’s finished. And you know every make-up looks better a few hours after you did it!
And to give the light to this dark look, we’re going to put a bright eyeshadow under the eyebrow, and we’ll join that colour with the brown one we blurred before. This step gives us brightness and spaciousness.
Because this post is about make-up, I didn’t pay attention on my hair, and now I realised that I need to dye it again!
We’re about to finish, this look doesn’t need so much time! After putting on under the lower eyelashes the same black eyeshadow we used on our eyelid, we carry on with our eyeliners, as I showed you last week. One of them to line the upper and lower eyelashes, and the other one to make the cat’s eyes.
With the very same black eye pencil we began this look, we do the waterlines, the upper one as well the lower one. And let’s go with the eyelashes!
We curly up the eyelashes, apply an intense and dark mascara, et voilà! It’s done!
A bit of blush to stand out the cheekbones, and in my case, I’ve chosen this lip gloss from KIKO (mine is 126 Baby Pink).
Finito!
If you come back to the beginning of this post, you’ll see how I look like a 15-year-old girl in the first picture. I look like a 17-year-old girl in this last one – at least it’s something!
¡Ah!
Oh! And if anybody wants to know which nail polish I wear, it’s from Topshop, and it’s the Nice’N’Neutral.
I hope you liked this post, and if you’ve got any doubt, write me a comment below and I’ll answer any question! It’s quite difficult to explain a make-up on a post, so maybe there’s something incomplete.
For those who read this post without reading the last one, I must say this is a part II of this post. There are all the links to get to the official websites of every brand I use, and more information of the products specifically.
I’ll see you on Monday next week with a post completely different! Cheers!
